06-12-2003, 09:26 PM
yeah i made it, for the last 2 songs you guys did, but what i heard sounded great.

when are you playing again?

06-13-2003, 08:51 AM
thurs 19 at the silver dollar... glad you liked it... the sound was a little rough but no biggie... what did you think of the costumes... be honest.

06-14-2003, 11:39 AM
well, to be honest i didnt really notice the costumes. the only thing i did notice was the lead singer's face was painted (to look oily??).

the music was good though, and i will try to get my friends out to the next one.

sounds good....

kathedral this tuesday

Silver Dollar this thursday

06-15-2003, 11:11 PM
i'll probably go to the silver dollar then.

how do you guys get yourself so many gigs? i just ask because my band is trying to get some shows but we are new to this.

need an opening band?:D

06-16-2003, 12:30 PM
i dont know... we just get them, thats not really my department... whats your band website? theres never enough good bands to go around. i think the one guy from our band just calls promoters alot and drives them crazy. not really my style but it seems to work... for now. i think the theory is play a bunch of shit gigs on shit nights for promoters, blow there asses away and then insist they hook us up with some good gigs... will let you know if it works.

06-18-2003, 12:30 AM
hey, well my band has been together for about 2 years and we still havent been able to decide on a name, its getting pretty desperate.

but my friend said he would come on thurday.
and if you want to see what we sound like we should be playing the silver dollar on monday... but i dont know what time we are going on yet.

06-18-2003, 06:26 PM
cool, if im not working i will be there (im on call so i never know)

2 years and no band name?

how about the procrastinators?:P

06-19-2003, 10:14 AM
by the way my name is Ryan, i play the red guitar and i will have a beard and long-ish hair, say hello if you are there... and bring a demo or something of your band

06-19-2003, 10:21 AM
sorry ryan, but i cant make it tonight, we havent rehearsed in a couple of weeks, so we booked time for tongiht at 10 before i leave for the weekend.

next show im there though.

sounds good... were probably only gonna play a few more gigs for a while and then take a little break to owrk on some new material... we've been playing the same 1 hour (or less) set pretty much since may and we are a little bored of it even though probably hardly anyone has seen it, but playing the same set in the same town over and over gets a little tedious

06-20-2003, 11:00 AM
cool, i just got the time from the guy, and he said we're going on 10-ish, so if you're going to show up thats the time to do it.

06-20-2003, 01:11 PM
monday 10 o 'clock, will do my best

06-22-2003, 10:07 PM
and it just got changed to 11 oclock....

damn hippies.

06-24-2003, 07:41 AM
shit man, missed it... along with alot of other things... look what happens when you start drinking vodka on a hot summer day before noon....

how did it go anyways? How was Dan Burke? Big Crowd? what bands did ya play with?

06-24-2003, 11:30 AM
thats too bad you missed us, it was a pretty good show. not too big of a crowd though, as it was monday.

dan burke was coked out of hir gourd as usual, and the band we played with were called Shangri-La, they were all from tibet, except a very white bassist. they were good for a band that had only been together for a month.

besides that we had fun which was most important. and then i got drunk.
