so there's this loose collective of friends making music together in athens, ga (non e6) and we're looking to do some travelling this summer. i was wondering if anyone on this board would be interested in hosting a house show.

here are the bands and some links:

the orchid pool http://www.theorchidpool.com
bellhouse http://www.bellhouse.org
green bean go http://www.archaeologyfrontier.org
sugar cookie http://sugarcookie.iuma.com
eshniner forest http://www.geocities.com/aeroplanecompu
the capricorns http://www.thecapricorns.com
crunchifus
matthew's ghost
green uvula
the sorry sods

it's going to be a travelling variety show of sorts. so far, it looks like we'll be in lexington, ky in mid-july and in the northeast in late june. specifically we're trying to find shows in nj/ny for june 28-30. if anyone's interested drop me an e-mail at theorchidpool @ yahoo dot com

we'll probably be travelling in the fall on weekends too, so e-mail me if you're in other places on the east coast where we could drive easily on a weekend.

there's a backyard house show at our place just outside of athens this saturday. check the other post for details, or http://www.archaeologyfrontier.org

thanks!

I'm a big Green Bean Go fan, and the Orchid Pool can make it pop, but I live on the Canadian border basically. I'm about two hours from the geographical center of the North American continent (which incidently is marked by this big hunk of stone sticking out of the ground outside an old diner in a rural town called Rugby, I ate there once. Everyone was dressed in overalls and gave me dirty looks the whole time), does that help?

oooo I may be available but I'm not 100% sure. I'll post later or send you an email with a more concrete answer.

ouch!myphantomlimb!: way to entice me with a roadside attraction. geographical center of the north american continent? i'd love to play a show at that chunk of rock.

c.s.: e-mail me!

friend: ah, the west coast, home of our good friend matthew. we'd all love to come out there because we miss him so much. and it'd be a good excuse to make some music. purrrrrrrrrrhaps someday before we all get old and jobs and kids. sigh. but you've got matthew, and that's a lot.

matthew: hi. i owe you an e-mail. sorry. a box is in the mail.
