This is the new song I received from Julian through the NYC adventure.

if you do a search on the townhall for palace, the hello from julian/best things in the world list comes up, and in one of the first entries, julian refers to the library as being a palace, and there's a coat check in astor hall.

/nerd.

Yeah it was the public library, we had to tell the lady it was a gift for us because I think she realized we weren't Julian, haha.

this is a fine song, but i wish it was the recorded version of the new song he played when i saw them in hoboken that went "once a year..." and so on.

The song is called Takeshi and Elijah. I'm sure we'll see that in the future.

This song is great, though.

You all who went perhaps met one of my best friends, and former roommate Mark. :)

This would appear to be Julian's take on the Cole Porter classic "Night and Day".

haha, yeah he said he was sent on a mission by his friend Wilson.

Ah, that's why it sounded so familiar. As a very musical theatre influenced person who actually took a class this year that actually covered a lot of Cole Porter, I am slightly ashamed.

For those of you who want to hear the original, this would probably be the best version to check out.

Thanks so much! Julian does the coolest stuff.

Any chance of a FLAC rip?

If you could explain to me how to do the FLAC rip... I mean it came on just like a burned cd, nothing really special.

Did you encode the mp3 through iTunes? If you'll do a .WAV rip instead of mp3 (in iTunes, put in the CD, right-click on the track and "CREATE WAV VERSION"), and upload that to yousendit/whichever one of these upload sites you prefer, I'll encode/tag the FLAC and then reup. That'd be the easiest way (although an EAC wav rip is always preferable!).

Alternately, if you have FLAC and presumably one of the front-ends (http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html), you could encode the aforemade wave file into FLAC and use a tagger (Mp3Tag and the Audioshell Tag Editor being two of my favorites) to tag the file!

I'll just do the first thing you said to do, all this crazy FLAC stuff boggles my mp3 brain. Will upload later.
