Yes, I'm having a boring day......

But anyway- I just wanna ask, who was the first E6 band you ever heard and how did you come about hearing them?

Neutral Milk Hotel were my first. I'd heard their name mentioned a few times and was immediately intrigued as to what they sounded like with a crazy name like that! Plus, I really liked the cover art of "ITAOTS".

Downloaded "Two Headed Boy, Part One", "The Fool" and "In The Aeroplane....." and the rest is history! Next stop OTC!

NMH. Was on a Modest Mouse fan site and on it was a list of other bands the person liked. I was bored and needed new music so I downloaded some songs from pretty much every band on the list I hadn't heard of. NMH was one of them, and I loved what I downloaded, so I went and picked up Aeroplane.

I saw an Apples cd (Discovery of a world...) in a rent-a-cd store, vaguely remembering the bandname and decided to rent it. Completely amazed with it I went on the internet to search about this band, found tons of other and bought lots of them blindly (there were very little E6 bands to be bought that time in the neighborhood I live) on the internet. Few have disappointed me, most have amazed me.

Neutral Milk Hotel. I bought "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea", and Elf Power's "A Dream In Sound" at the same time but I think I put "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" in first because I loved the artwork so much.

Apples. I still haven't heard a lot of E6 bands though but they'll always have a special place in my heart. :)

first I heard was Apples in stereo via Powerpuff Girls. But at the time, I really wasnt super interested in them. Not too long later though, I got interested in Apples and OTC at right around the same time (Apples may have been a little bit before). So...yeah--the Apples will also have a special place in my heart too :)

The first for me was NMH over four years ago while living in AZ. Then very shortly after I downloaded some OTC. It was about two years before I heard any other E6 bands. The first being the Apples, who I couldn't stand. Then Circulatory System and Pipes You See, Pipes You Don't, who I could at least stomach, but was not too impressed by... Then there was Major Organ and The Adding Machine, which is fine if I'm in the right mood... and then I haven't heard anything else....
