Your collection never ceases to amaze me c_elephant. My wish in life is to have something at least resembling something close to your E6 collection at some point in time. If you ever think about selling any of it I will buy it for sure.

I think at this point, selling any of my E6/Related stuff would be akin to selling off one of my limbs! Glad you seem to enjoy the collection, though! :)

My collection is pretty standard, though I do have all of the Music Tapes releases including the 2nd Symphony. I also have the First Symphony on vinyl, is that hard to come by?

Ya. You could get some good $ for it on th' eBay. I'm holding out for scoring it at a record shop somewhere. :(

it can happen! all of my music tapes records came in second hand shops, for no more than $5 :)

if i find another copy of the lp, i'll definitely snag it for you.

man, i don't know what kind of amazing second hand record shops you guys have where you live, but i want to go!

i admit i look for music tapes records too, every single time i'm in a place with used records. haha... no luck yet, mostly just celine dion records and elvis christmas albums.

i somehow got a vinyl copy of the first symphony on ebay, from a guy in japan, for $6... and that was just days after a copy on ebay sold for $50+

I know this is off-topic, but since we're talking about ebay and tralala is lurking about...
how much would one expect to pay for a vinyl of "Mount Eerie" by the Microphones?

c_elephant
12-11-2007, 11:23 PM
Microphones stuff is really in demand. Some LP of theirs just went for $230+!

I'm not familiar with them that much but I think the title of the record was called "The Blood" or something.

That was a St. Ives release, which is the super limited vinyl arm of Secretly Canadian. There were 300 made, and I think they were all hand drawn or painted by Phil. They've done some cool records. The last copy of Blood I saw on there went for $375 or something ridiculous. Watch for that 20 bees lathe cut up there now to bring close to that. The last time it went for $300... for a 2 song single with previously released live versions. Phil does have a following.

St. Ives does some really cool stuff. Everything they do has some sort of handmade element and is normally limited to 300 copies.

Probably not, but perhaps this sorta stuff is better for a different thread? This is just a way for us to show off our collections, not our super cool abilities to have opinions about bands!

I just got obsessed with them when they were at their peak ("coquelicot") and since then, I've been hoping that they'll put something of that caliber out again. Every now and then, they'll have a song or 2 on an album that is brilliant, but their albums just aren't the same to me anymore. I still get em though.

what's the 5 of clubs for?

Released on Tup Keewah Recordings as a vinyl-only LP release on translucent blue vinyl. Each record is numbered by a playing card inside. There are 10 different style decks and we're asking that each owner email us and let us know what card (style, suit and number) your album has and your location and we will keep a running list on this site.

I don't mind you asking, but I honestly don't know. I've been into these bands for a long time now, close to 10 years. I was lucky to buy a good portion of this straight from the band or label.

There are no official rules as to what counts and what doesn't, but I'd say they count. The 2nd two more so than Madeline, but I saw Call and Response listed, so I would count Madeline too.

Wait for the CD pictures. You'll see those three and more.

I know this is off-topic, but since we're talking about ebay and tralala is lurking about...
how much would one expect to pay for a vinyl of "Mount Eerie" by the Microphones?
I sent you a PM.
