I LOVE THIS STUFF

can you change this to like 20 so it is actually possible?

here are mine i think... but these definitely aren't the best 20 records of all time. i could probably do best 50 and be content with my answer.

1) Ida ~ The Braille Night
2) His Name Is Alive ~ In the East
3) Melanie ~ Gather Me
4) Carly Simon ~ Anticipation
5) Wafflehouse* ~ Olympia
6) Rainer Maria ~ Past Worn Searching
7) This Day Forward ~ The Transient Effects of Light on Water
8) Joiya ~ Sometimes Is and Kinda
9) Panda Bear ~ Person Pitch
10) Madeline ~ Kissing and Dancing
11) of Montreal ~ Satanic Panic in the Attic
12) Mogwai ~ Happy Songs For Happy People
13) Vaselines ~ The Way of the Vaselines
14) Os Mutantes ~ s/t
15) Mono ~ You Are There

17) Appleseed Cast ~ Low Level Owls
18) Animal Collective ~ Sung Tongs
19) Rilo Kiley ~ Take Offs and Landings
20) Toe ~ Songs, Ideas We Forgot

I left out the beatles and some others like elliott smith and morrissey who have multiple equal albums in my opinion. This list also had about 10 minutes of thought put into it, but it's alright i suppose

here are some great albums I really respect and/or listen to constantly.

Beatles - The White Album
Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle
Neutral Milk Hotel - Aeroplane of course
Zombies - Odessey and Oracle
The Ladybug Transistor - The Albemarle Sound

Since coming back from Athens my CD wallet is stuffed with new music that I've been loving, so this list feels stale already.

I grew up in Canada. I've heard all of their music right from the beginging. Didn't like it then, still can't stand it now. It's totally cheesy crap.

There's your first problem!

You know, for a band that's supposedly so overrated in Canada, I haven't met one e-Canadian who's liked them.

At least appreciate the good music that's forced on you, fag!

Also, I still don't quite know what you mean by cheesy crap. Other than their lame improvised raps and a couple songs, nothing really stands out as being too cheesy. Steven Page has one of the greatest voices ever, and come on now, http://youtube.com/watch?v=1aKn8HWYOL8

I got into the Lips waaay too late. I heard about them in like 2003, after Yoshimi came out. I'm glad I went to one of their concerts, but I'm *so* upset it was a AWWTM tour...

Ya listening to AWWTM was probably one of the most disappointing experiences of my life, I started to really dislike the flaming lips after AWWTM except for two songs off of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots because the first couple of songs on that album are really pretty cool.
