...is now back from the dead. My apologies to everyone who had it set as their home page (I know there are a FEW of you), but now it's a little prettier than it has been the last two weeks. Please update your bookmarks and links to www.opticalatlas.com, as the old Blogger site is no more. Thanks to everyone who might care about my silly little website. (And I apologize that it's a bit bare at the moment, I'm still uploading files and organizing them.)

Jeff

Jeff

You'd think that people would have had enough of silly websites
But I look around me and I see it isn't so
Some people wanna fill the world with silly websites
And whats wrong with that?
I'd like to know....

btw - nice, smooth design, Jeff - do hope to see at least a couple of your old features return, like the excellent BP interview / mp3s, but good to see that Optical Atlas is apparently here to stay!

Thanks for the interest. I will get the BP MP3s back up, and any MP3s that were related to interviews or articles. Let me know if you guys run into any weird things when navigating the website...comments not working and such. (Though there's not much to check at the moment.)

Yeah, I wanted to switch over to WordPress a LONG time ago (since the beginning, really), but I had GoDaddy, which doesn't work well with them. Thus the switching servers. So far I'm liking it a lot.

Try doing a shift-refresh of the page. I tried another PC and it worked fine. Also make sure that you're going to opticalatlas.com without the index.html at the end.

Thanks. :)
And as added incentive to those who haven't checked out the website, there's a little contest there to win a copy of HHBTM Vol. 4. But you have to go to the site for the details.

Yes, Yes, I have always loved OA.....will the Captain 23 lossless file sharing continue? That was my favorite part, but I didn't see a space for it any where.

Also, on a more personal note, did you finish that popfest mix? I should have asked earlier, but I might have some tracks of bands that you don't have yet. just send me (e-mail, or u2u) a list of the bands you need songs by, and I will see if I can help. If you have finished, is it to late to get a copy?

Ok, good luck on all your revamping.

Fare Thee Well,

DRG

Weird, I was going to post a thread a few days ago directing newbies there who might not know what a great archive/resource/piece of cyber-awesome it is.

There will always be a space reserved for Captain23, should he decide to upload more concerts. He's a busy guy. With the server move, and the amount of files I'm restoring to the new server, uploading lots of uncompressed FLAC files for old concerts that most people have already didn't seem too appetizing to me. If the Captain decides he wants to share more material through OA, the door is always open. It was certainly one of the site's most popular features while it was running.

David, I'll email you about the popfest mix.

Did you and Captain 23 have a falling out?
