I thought macs didn't get viruses.
:o
If you are worried about keeping your macs guts clean, download YASU (yet another systems utility).
You can use this to clean out all of your system cache, etc.

Yeah they can get viruses, there's been a few. not as many as on winblows.

If you want to be really safe, run ubuntu :)

I have heard of a lot of anti-virus for mac software doing my damage than good. I always hear about anout Norton fucking up someones HDD and having to format it.

Just don't download P2P, only use torrents (from private trackers) and download legit software, you should be fine

I've heard of people writing viruses for macs just so they could prove it can be done. But, I think there's only been two ever found in the wild. I really wouldn't worry about. Just don't download files from shady sites or p2p networks.

Macs are lucky because they don't viruses, hacks, or fun games.

Mac-peeps get the shaft on gaming, but we maintain a higher level of intelligence.

If you really need a virus scanner for OS X, get ClamXav.

Also, Stormx, Ubuntu is kinda fun, but no matter how user-friendly they try to make it, Linux is (and always will be) Linux.
