Long time visitor, not much posting here from old fan. I am actually seeing oM for the first time in many years tomorrow night and taking my 15-year old daughter with me and my wife. The band is playing The Met in Providence, which is just a tiny venue, and this tour reminds me of the intimate show from 2005 in support of SPITA. I wrote a long-winded review in this forum and posted pictures back then. That 2005 show was also when I met Kevin at the merch stand and was able to chat him up for a little bit. I have a photo from that show with Kevin and Arlene that I will try to give him. Thanks for the heads up on some of the songs. I have not been following but I am assuming this is a whole new band. No Dottie or BP.

Here's the most recent setlist. Really happy to see Cato, Mutants, Nonpareil, and Exquisite Confessions back. Oslo is also one of their best live songs, assuming they're doing the heavier rock arrangement of it still. Setlist is mostly the same songs each night, slightly different orders, seems like they're still figuring out the pacing of the show.

Wraith Pinned to the Mist (and Other Games)
      Let's Relate
      Hydra Fancies
      My Fair Lady
We Were Born the Mutants Again with Leafling
      Sink the Seine
      Cato as a Pun
      It's Different for Girls
      Oslo in the Summertime
      Coquet Coquette
      Nonpareil of Favor
      St. Exquisite's Confessions
Bunny Ain't No Kind of Rider
      Play Video
      Id Engager
      Gronlandic Edit
A Sentence of Sorts in Kongsvinger

      Encore:
      The Party's Crashing Us
      Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse
      She's a Rejecter

Remember when this was billed as the 'Hissing Fauna 10th anniversary tour'? I could've sworn something was said about the album being performed front to back, and we even speculated on whether the Icons stuff would be included in the set. Not complaining really, just weird that they seemed to abandon that idea of what this tour is.

EDIT: I think this was announced originally and discussed on Facebook, not the board

They are performing Hissing Fauna in its entirety at the Music Tastes Good festival at Long Beach, CA.

Yeah, they announced the Hissing Fauna festival date and their booking agent added a header to the site "of Montreal Plays Hissing Fauna Tour" but only one date was ever put underneath the header. It IS the beyond the 10th anniversary... and it seems like the new album will be out in the spring (the IG clips of mixing sound pretty complete) so I don't know if they'll do a full HF tour.

What I would love to see is a total nostalgia tour where they brought back a lot of the old theatrical bits and sort of did a "greatest hits" of the theatrics. Stuff like the fur outfit with the smoke coming out of it, feathers, the Gender Mutiny giant light platform stage, etc etc.

At this point we can go ahead and give up hope for Def Pacts, Chaos Arpeggiating, and Nursing Slopes. They did Chaos Arpeggiating on some Asia dates but it's been shelved since, and never in oM history (that I can think of) was a song given a live debut AFTER the next record came out. From what I recall, if they don't play the song on that album's tour, then they never play it ever.

Which is a shame because I love all three of those songs very much.

I was hoping Ambassador Bridge and Sport/Pasttime would become more present because they're great live.
