The most recent s/t album was the first for me, and I loved it. It is a very subdued album, almost like a 45-minute psychedelic lullaby. The first album is more in line with typical E6 fare.

I listened to Elf Power (self-titled) yesterday, and I thought it was pretty fantastic. Trying out WTRKC now. So far, so good.

My first elf power album was in a cave which I absoloutly love! Then I went back and went to when the red king comes which is also an amazing album! Next I went to vainly clutching at phantom limbs, which like everyone says is classic raw e6 material. Finally I got the self titled and that's a grand album too! This is really a great band that really deserves the attention. They have so many more albums that my ears have never had the pleasure of hearing. If I had to guess, just by the albums I've owned over the years, is that every single one of elf powers albums has something great to offer!

i think you're right on this one. the one knock could be that they stick pretty close to their formula, but personally that's what i want from them. i'd hate to see andrew reiger go through a georgie fruit phase.

i remember being very disappointed when nothing's going to happen and walking with the beggar boys came out. i loved the idea of nothing's going to happen, but it fell short of my expectations. walking with the beggar boys just seemed to lack the experimentation and psychedelic awesomeness of their previous work. HOWEVER, i've given those albums further consideration in recent years and have really come around. they're still at the bottom of my list of elf power favorites, but i still really like them. So yeah, that's kind of a testament to their consistency. i could see how some people would think they're boring, but i just think their entire discography is solid.

      Hahaha! Ditto!
It would end up being like...
