Default Does \'California Demise Pt. 3\' have a semi-skip for you?

Ever since my first complete Black Foliage listening, I've noticed that on track 21, right when they go 'They've already died in the California demise' at the end, it sort of skips on 'already died'. It almost hiccups; the music doesn't halt altogether, it just doesn't flow smoothly.. it's hard to describe, but annoying, because it impedes the otherwise ness of that track. Does anyone elses' do this, or do I have a bastard disc?

I know exactly what you mean, it can go un noticed, but I noticed that when I first heard the song, and just thought that that's how it is supposed to be.

Me too, I always just thought I'd bought a dud. Such a shame. I'm trying to think of something witty or useful to say, to give this post a purpose, but I can't.

      Sorry.

      Hi Y'all,
The hiccup on "California Demise III" is actually on the master recording. I remember it happening during mastering, and at the time we liked it because it was like there was a little ripple in the flow of time, that would make your head do a double take. I can see how people might think it's a defect, since it's digital and all the other reanimation / deconstrution on the album was done analog. I think we left it because it happened on the word "already". In retrospect, I don't know how good of an idea it was to leave the glitch, but I think we were some audio pranksters in those days.

that's interesting, i always thought it was intended to be like that, kind of like on the beach boys 'vegetables' when they do the syllable breakdown/mixup thing 'ta-b-vege-les'. if you hear the song you'll know what i'm talking about. it's at 0:48 on the smiley smile version right before 'i tried to kick the ball...'.

anyway, i'm glad it's there, and 'ca demise iii' is still one of my very favorite olivia tunes.
