I already do that, but not ALL day.
Hahaha yeah man, I have no real aspirations in life that don't involve music but at the same time i'm like I don't feel like it's important enough to base my life around, but at the same time I do. Things will probably see themselves through in a couple of years though.

or you could be like me and fall into a depression for three years until you start growing plants again and realize there is hope (some!) for the future. hahaha.
      I love this thread.

Currently I've been in a depressed state for about a year and a half, but then again I'm probably just a pissy teen. I just come up with weird goals that matter to me in a REALLY deep way, with seemingly no reason. I desperately want to record an album I'm making in a bathtub, and I don't know why...

Haha, man depression = My life for awhile, until last year when I started a band and found Neutral Milk Hotel at the same time, then that fueled me to be better and whatevz, stopped feeling sorry for myself and decided "The world is a piece of shit, I mean nothing, why not live it in a way I enjoy?".

I'm in the midst of writing a concept album about a doorknob.

They are so useful and are used constantly but no one gives them thought, they open doors, and every day is a new door opened by a door knob you subconsciously pull. But I only have 3 songs penned for it yet, it'll be done sometime, my solo stuff tends to get forgotten about.

      1. Get someone/something pregnant, and write a romantic comedy around it

      2. ???

      3. Your life's aspirations fall into place/profit

Our posts keep delying after and before each other, but my album is about a man who gets lit on fire and rebuilds himself as a model image with wood.

It makes FAR more sense in my crazy lil' brain.

The idea's been in my head since an 8 hour car drive to Baltimore, (Going crazy helps the creative process, obviously) and I've been traveling to an island with an acoustic guitar to play it out, but every time I go there I get lost, which delays things. Anyway I've only really started lyrics tonight, where I free-styled for 18 minutes, and actually wrote half of it, as I didn't stop singing, and everything made sense. I was in a weird mood and atmosphere, where everything made so much sense...

As you can see, I ramble, which helps me to never stop singing.

I find when i'm sleep deprived I write so much better, because my mind doesn't go "Oh that's shit!" it's just like "okay this is what I feel i'm writing this now" and I like to just play a melody/chord progression I had made up earlier and written down, sometimes these are year old progressions I only used now, and sing along to them in a sleepy haze and write down what I sang, pass out, wake up the next day and refine it.
