my nine year old son recently recorded 'hilltop procession' with his younger siblings. i know the song is taken, but if you are accepting multiple submissions of the same song i'm sure he'd love to...

i have a 3 year old son who has been into the marbles 'pyramid landing and other favorites' for a while, so i'll have to agree with that recommendation. he especially likes 'swimmin' and 'laughing'....
i also would recommend this site. i found out about it not long ago and it hasn't been around for long, but it's really nice. music/art/film/literature, as well as some great columns.
"Wayne Coyne gives a detailed description of the thought process behind the new album."

well i just purchased tickets, but it does say the order is "pending" so who knows.
can anyone confirm that the show is sold out?
the auction states: "The back is painted black and contains Jeff Mangum’s signature near the bottom edge"
there's no pics of the back though, that's why you don't see it
nevermind now it's working. sounds great!

the sad and horrible thing about this is that flydaddy totally screwed them over and they saw very little, if any money from all those sales.
[Edited on 10-19-2004 by channelfan]
that all sounds great, but unfortunately, they aren't coming thru austin this time!
everyone who has a chance should check it out though.
tis a good one indeed. and i can't wait to see them live! that record was a favorite of paul mcartney's i believe.
the cover art on dusk.. is slightly different
i've seen them about a dozen times. all in texas, so it's kind of hard to gauge what fan response is like elsewhere, but i'm pretty sure they have a pretty robust following everywhere now.
the...
any updates on the new record?
what label is it going to be released on?
can't wait to hear it!
i got it pretty cheap at low yo-yo records in athens ga, but i haven't seen it since. he said a member of one of the bands had brought it in.

the reason why the first album is such a let down to some people (especially after seeing them live) is because it was actually a demo, recorded in 3 days after the members had only been together...
i'm pretty sure i get what you were saying friend. the stuff i said isn't particularly directed at you or your comments, just stuff i've been thinking of recently.
i think it's odd to be so certain of someone elses specific influences/ideas on a certain album/song they wrote/recorded.
i mean it's one thing to say 'i think this sounds a little like that',...
yes. actually there was one last year too and it lasted 3 days. this year it is only 1 day. the only other band i know for sure is playing is elf power. i'd like to know who else is playing!
great show. i was anticipating some early material and they didn't let me down. a nice selection from all the records.

i have an old breezy porticos ep that is pretty good. i think john hill produced it. anyways, i've been wondering what they've been up to.
i heard that too. weird. i'm not a big fan of them, but i was definately surprised to hear that segment. i was also surprised that they were already able to quit their jobs.
where ya been cap'n?
i believe it may come out in april, at least that's what i was told was the plan, and they will be touring also.
i downloaded the feb 20 show and it is okay. i attended the pet sounds tour so i had an idea what this would sound like. it's neat to hear the 3 suites and how they may have been intended to flow...

a couple weeks ago while in athens i saw gerbil frontman scott spillane play a short set at the 40 watt. he played two gerbils songs i think, the rest must have been newer songs.
