For me that is the best part of the song!
That minor 3rd makes a big different you know.
That minor 3rd makes a big different you know.
Edit: I'm making a stupid amount of mistakes today. Wrong thread.
I know now dude. I realised after I posted this. And neither would I.
I think neutral milk hotel are great but the crazy fandom is annoying. I mean the songs do have that timeless feel to them and I can see why people connect with it like they do. But listen to invent...
I could not do this. This is my favorite record of all time. The first 2 sides are perfect psyche pop, green typewriters is the perfect suite of weirdness and pop. The last side is probably my least...
Just like loveless, I can't work out its identity on first listen. Loveless took a while to sink in but it was great when it did. Maybe this album will be the same, future listens will make this...
'Song for Jeff and Bill' is featured in the E6 film trailer at 1:46. Sounds great http://vimeo.com/25555353
Derek and Eric are both fantastic drummers. Jeff was totally right for that early lofi four track sound.
I think Eric is my all time favorite.
The photos of Will in the 90's were the first I saw so i'm totally used to that.
The Olivia tremor control cannot exist without Bill Doss. But what can exist is the 3rd album I guess. It feels very sad that this amazing band suddenly came to a halt just as they we're coming back....
I think its him. If you look at the other video, the guy definitely looks like pete. And the girl talking in it says 'I can't beleive Pete bought his cat round'.
The guy with long curly hair is Peter Erchick, despite joining the band in 1997. Bill knew Peter from chocolate usa I beleive. You can see that its him on the other video. As for the drummer I have...
If you hate it so much why don't you try and cut it out using audio editing software?
I don't think two seconds of one record can really make or break it.
haha, I didn't see this reply at the time. If your going to give the finger at least smile a little.
Sad times.
If the band need any money to keep it up I would be happy to help donate, if it is wanted.
I'm pretty sure Will drummed on the entirety of green typewriters.
Spent some time with Will and Eric at ATP this year, they definitely have not fell out. Infact Will was saying how awesome of a drummer Eric is and that he can do practically anything.
ahem.. cubist castle fucking courtyard view. No mention so far really surprises me.
And I equally love i'm not feeling human, jumping fences, hilltop procession, i'll be gone. There are many...
I like Neutral milk hotel a lot but this is all getting silly/crazy.
I think she was replying to the question asked in the quote she posted. About 'the same shitty albums' or whatever, rather than the beach boys specifically.
I understand and that sucks. Unfortunately some people have to deal with these things more than others. However we have no idea what e6 is going through personally. We will just have to wait and see...
But surely love for the music you listen to is intrinsical? Its your experience, its how the music reacts with your brain and the feelings and enjoyment it gives to you. I love talking about music to...
Yes thats what I was thinking. It must be very difficult to go back to that material for anyone involved right now. With Roberts driven attitude I think it may eventually come out. But I think its...
I really hope it is. There is no other record I would rather hear than the new Olivia record. Even if the remaining beatles we're like 'Oh heres a shelved album we recorded after Sgt. Peppers', I...
When the album was leaked , some of the tracks we're mistagged. One of those tracks was 'round again', which was labled 'the spinning continuous'. So this is where the confusion stems from. They are...
Not my cup of beard. But he suits it a lot more than my beard ever did.
His song wide eyed is pretty great. I would love to hear more Deakin led songs.
Agreed!
Mosquito's keep biting me, and this is the UK. ITS NOT RIGHT!
But then again its a charming compliment to the quality of my blood. :)
Met Pete this year at ATP and he was a very friendly approachable and friendly guy. I don't think lack of organisation really indicates that someone is a meanie.
Its hard to choose between them. I feel that its one big peice. I mean if I had to choose a song for standard listening it would be between 1,3,4,9 and 10. But the joy of green typewriters is how...
I'll fly over there you fucking son of a bitch!!
Abel is a nickname for his real name Table.
Ufoinkushiro eats turkey drumsticks.
So what is it then?

WHATTTTTT? I know taste is each to their own, but that is some of the greatest songwriting i've ever heard.
No worries man. I may finish it up soon. The lossy version is there for now if you want to check it out, i'm pretty much applying the same process.
Also, Bill was on tour until a couple of weeks ago. Bill passed away about a week and I half ago. He most likely has been pre-occupied with these things and has not checked his emails.
Releasing...
Bill Doss has just passed away. So if he is not replying to your emails right now, this is most probably why.
:'(
I have actually half finished the lossless remaster but some shit 'went down' and I never finalised the project. Glad you completed it though, will check these out.
I had no idea there...
It also makes it very easy to do that guitar lick after the chord sequence.

Ah I think I understand the confusion about the b string. I'm playing a barre chord version on the 8th fret.
It just becomes a minor 7th while you are doing it. Give it a go.
its the same fret but on the b string instead of the g string.
It does exist. But it exists on a smaller scale against men.
Your not an asshole, its understood that we are all concerned about where elephant 6 stands right now. But I guess its better not to ask these questions and wait to see what happens in the future....
Rest in peace Bill. The world has turned upside down today. Thank you for all the amazing music, you have changed my life with those beautiful psychedelic pop songs.
I think black foliage is a big acheivement, songs, sounds and recording methods combined. But the songcraft on cubist castle is so incredible. It is my favorite album of all time. The vibe on black...
The dish I had at the pub was no where near as hot as I thought it would be. Apparently Phall's are extremely hot though, would love to try one.
..so um yeah, the olivia tremor control.
I tried vindaloo at a local pub and it was lovely. However I dread to think how hot authentic vinadaloo's are and I love spicy food.
I beleive he is half Indian!
BrainDamage seems friendly and harmless, let him be :)
edit: Or her!
I don't know if it would be half assed, it would just seem like they would be playing it safe. Dusk and Black Foliage are double albums and both of them are fantastic. But to create 2 double albums...
I really hope its a double album. preferably 27 songs. One CD, double vinyl. But it doesn't really matter. It will be a classic anyway.

Our band, 'The Multiversal Concrete Fleet'
From left to right: Phil, Dave, Luke and myself.
Tatay is a fantastic record. Totally fits in with the E6 sound despite emerging from a completely different place on the globe.
I'm not really into hip hop at all but the like any genre it can be done very very well. This feels like another NMH parody/Joke that seems to crop up, whether in the form of Paris Hilton holding a...
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that.
I think these tapes will be available eventually. Its just a bit of a waiting game.
I think if we had access to the master tapes for the flydaddy demos, they would sound incredible. It was probably a worn tape of a bad rip. Probably a totally worn tape.
If you want to rar it or something (though that will be a bitch because of file size!) I will PM you my email address Jesse.
If anyone from E6 feels strongly against sharing these demos let me...
Unfortunately I do not have an account there but if there is another way I could get hold of the FLAC I would love to take a crack at it!
I was not aware there were flacs for this. Could you link me please? Its basically poor quality but it sounds better than it did.
Hey there, I have messed around with the Eq, sound levels, noise reduction among a couple of other things on the flydaddy demos. Some of them are not great (though still an improvement) but some...
Cannot wait to hear new music Robert, long may your fingers callus!
Here is a new track to download. Its called bonemeal. Pretty intense psychedelic. This is a demo for our album! Hope you all enjoy.

Hello. Our band has uploaded some new tracks from an EP we put together of non album material. Basically everything up until now that we like. But our working methods have changed for the record,...
I've just realised this is in the wrong area. I will move to general chat, I don't mind if this thread is removed.
And cheers Jesse!
Nice one man! Unfortunately the tracklisting is in the wrong order. Reverse it including nothing stays the same and it will be correct. Sorry for the lack of professionalism!

Exceeds expectations from a group of 70 year old men. Yeah its cheesy but good (albeit autotuned) harmonys. And yes it may not seem promising but if the record has any weird moments, its almost...
synthetic sleep machine? I actually quite like that one haha.
There is 8 lines about the olivia tremor control and about 9 discussing neutral milk hotel and Robert Gibb. Awesome..
It will be mind blowing.
I would love that but I doubt it. Still new album soon, woohoo!
Hes quick, hes strong, he's active!
Good stuff, i'm looking forward to hearing more music from you.
Yeah! If you didn't notice I was super out of it that day too, total zombie. So sorry if I was zoning into space when I bumped into you! Walking around with a biro tache in an E6 Butlins in a daze...
Thats good to hear! I'm glad it was a good gig, I was wondering what would happen with Wills material, its good that its still being performed. I met Will at ATP. Me and my friends spent a good...
How was the sound with Bill Doss? I can imagine the harmonies being extra nice.
My post makes little sense. I meant to say 'so I do not think'
They look cool Evie!
Kelly and Will have just got married. I can imagine its a busy time in their lives right now. The e6 film facebook just announced this so I do this should not be revealing anything to personal.
I don't know. Will has MS which could play a big part in not working a day job.
Unfortunately I missed this. Was an amazing weekend though and I met some amazing people.
This is beyond frustrating.
I have to disagree Jesse. Although the it is similar to black foliage in the way the it repeats a theme. Circulatory system has different themes but the way Bill use's his is far more closer to black...
14 inch vinyl would probably solve this problem.. which leaves you with the problem of inventing a 14 inch turntable.
Are you tripping?
Its cool that he appreciates Will and Jeff.
bp helium must enjoy e6 considering he performed in holiday surprise.
This sounds quite sweet! Really nice intro.
Heres an update of our music. We made this track last year. We are working on new material and plan to play more shows in the UK if anyone wants to come and watch us! Its called nothing stays the...
How many have been submitted so far? I really want to submit to a new song.
This is amazing. Never thought they played this one live.
These things are rather small though. The remastered aeroplane bit was a quite a mistake but I think most of the review was alright. To be honest I think anyone who is a fan already need not read the...
As far as production goes the self titled is the most polished that circulatory/olivia has ever sounded. But signal morning is raw yet full of sound and it seems to have a 3 dimensional feel to it....
Early modest mouse sounds quite lonely and unsettling despite the fact a full band backs Isaac's writing. Maybe lonesome crowded west is a good record to check out for this.

Well this is definitely the best Polish music I have heard! I'm from the UK and worked with a few Polish guys once. This guy had an awesome disk of sea shantys that he used to blast in the factory....
Title of this thread is harsh.
