Vocal Accents

This might just be me being weird, but every once in a while I find a song with some odd accented vocals that give me this weird sensation, kind of like biting into a snow-cone or something. My brain just kind of skips a beat and flutters for a second. I don't mean accents like "southern" or "German" or anything, just weird attributes, just for a second.

Does anyone else notice these?

Just taking a small slice of the internet to say that this record is really, really, good. Yes, it deserves two "really's."

I never would have forked over a few meager bucks to buy this record if it wasn't for this forum. Elephant 6 consistently yields great finds. Despite whatever the collective stands for, it remains a great way to discover amazing artists.

"Closure Eyes," "I Could Give The World Away" and "Trolling on the Lake" are are gorgeous. The record features nice contributions from E6 folks as well. Pete Erchick, James Husband, Derek Almstead, and Dottie are all there.

This is one of my favorite albums. I have no problem putting the quality of this record together with "When The Red King Comes," "Are You Sleepy," or anything of Montreal has put out.

Big news...Sasha Bell, singer/songwriter of the Essex Green is launching a kickstarter campaign tomorrow (May 16th) to raise funds for her new solo record!!! This record will feature the first original musical compositions from Sasha Bell since 2006 (The Essex Green- Cannibal Sea), and it will be her first solo record since 2003 (Finishing School-Destination Girl)!!!
