the only album i have predicted to be better than Person Pitch is Blasting Through (if it ends up being released this year).

Great album, I especially love the song Bros.

He is amazing to watch perform.

Yes, yes, I concur .. I recently saw Animal Collective (for the 3rd time, and by far was the best performance yet) and Panda Bear (he had these crazy, beautiful, trippy screen projections playing behind him the whole performance).

If you havn't heard Panda Bear's live radio session yet, you must, it's better than Person Pitch, amazing.

I really missed the Animal Collective boat as I resent heavily-hyped bands on principle, but I saw them live recently and was impressed, and then I bought "Person Pitch" and was doubly impressed. Neat stuff.

and also from my very limited vantage point, I think I like the direction Animal Collective are going as compared to where they started out. Very exciting

p.s. why is this topic in the circulatory system board

I didn't really like AC stuff from Sung tongs onward. Its still really cool but albums like Danse matanee and Here comes the indian are so completely out of this world yet so poppy and fun I have been a little surprised how easy to listen the last few releases have been.
I hope that doesn't make me sound like an indy wanker, cause I love assessable tunes. Its just that AC durings the first releases spun me out, I guess in a somilar way OTC, CS and the microphones all did.
