After waiting a good number of years waiting, anticipating, and yearning for the chance to see Elf Power play in concert do they have to go and book a show in DC thats 21+?! I would understand if this was like Missouri or something, but DC?! There's no excuse...there are countless all age venues: Black Cat, Warehouse Next Door, Galaxy Hut, 9:30 club...etc. AND even IF they couldn't play those there's still BALTIMORE. They should feel ashamed, as me and countless other minors have purchased thier albums and have spoken of the day they would finally come back again. They have not lost a fan, but have extremely disappointed one. Hopefully one day they'll return to thier senses and return again for ALL AGES.

yeh, and sneaking into 21 plus venues isnt the best idea since you stick out like a sore thumb.

I like the 21+ shows. I have found that all ages shows, and even the 18+ shows I've been to, tend to be noisey. Seems like most of the "younger" crowd go and talk, but don't really pay attention to the music. It's a big distraction. Plus, the venues around here won't sell alcohol at all ages shows, which sucks a big donkey wang.

in my experience, people that are under 21 or just over 21 think everyone should only play all ages shows. people in their mid twenties and over enjoy 21+ shows more and become more neutral on the topic. i think it is great that there are all ages shows, and i enjoy some of them, but i am also glad that there are 21+ shows sometimes too.

i like 18+ shows, they never serve alcohol att all-ages. i still enjoy a show without alcohol if it's a good band, but i like to be abel to drink beer if i want to.
there's never 21+ shows in sweden, caus the drinking age is 18.

it defintely depends on what town you're in. sometimes all-ages shows are awesome and sometimes they're really unenjoyable. i started going to shows when i was 15, so i used to be very much in favor of all-ages shows. now at 28, i've almost forgotten the days when i always had to sneak in the back door or use a fake ID. it really sucked now that i think about it.

but i have to say that when Olivia Tremor Control played in NY, the 16+ show was a much better crowd than the 21+! :)
